  8. though, a poll taken by Manhattan's Stage Deli has produced a
  9. standout bunch of all-time, all-Jewish players. Dodger pitcher
  10. SANDY KOUFAX received the most votes, and Detroit's legendary
  11. HANK GREENBERG, whose autobiography was published posthumously
  12. this spring, made the cut with no trouble. Rounding out the
  13. squad were two blacks who follow Judaism: the Twins' ROD CAREW
  14. and Yankee ELLIOTT MADDOX.
